2017 Mazda3 : The Fuel-Efficient Compact That is Also Fun to Drive
The compact vehicle segment is definitely one of the most popular in Canada, and buyers who are interested in this segment usually look for a model that is fuel-efficient, safe, well-built, and that offers plenty of tech features.

In some cases, however, buyers also want a vehicle that is fun to drive, and that although efficient, doesn’t require too many compromises from a performance standpoint.

The 2017 Mazda3 doesn’t need you to compromise.

If this sounds like you, you will want to check out the all-new 2017 Mazda3. Completely redesigned this year, and now offering an even more refined exterior designed and a much more luxurious cabin with even more features and equipment, the 2017 Mazda3 still follows the recipe that was laid out by its last two generations.

The Mazda3 immediately became a sales champion when it was unveiled back in 2004, because it catered to drivers who wanted to enjoy their drive and feel like they were driving a German-engineered vehicle that came with Japanese reliability. That’s what you get in the 2017 Mazda3.

With the new 2017 Mazda3, you get a host of new, exclusive technologies, like the Mazda G-Vectoring Control system which is standard on all 2017 Mazda3 vehicles. This innovative technology uses the engine’s torque to stabilize the vehicle on the highway and in the city, thus improving driver confidence and passenger comfort.

The same reliable, fuel-efficient engines are found in the 2017 Mazda3.

Although the 2017 Mazda3 has improved a lot this year, one thing has not changed. Indeed, the same two engines are still available in Mazda’s compact offering, starting with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder SKYACTIV engine that offers 155 horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque. This engine can be paired with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.

The top-of-the-line GT model gets a more powerful 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that offers 184 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque. Thanks to SKYACTIV technology, this engine is very fuel-efficient, much like the 2.0-liter unit.
